Use this steel wax ring mandrel for a quick and convenient way to size wax ring models. Six sharp blades running from the tip to the handle act as a reaming tool on wax models and ring tubes which enlarge the finger size of your wax models quickly and accurately. With 6 blades evenly spaced you get even pressure on all sides of the ring or tube, this ensures a perfectly round, even cut and puts less stress on the ring. This is beneficial to thin shank or smaller delicate wax rings that are fragile and can break easily. Slide this tool through the hole of wax ring or ring tube and gently rotate clockwise. As the blades turn they scrape the inner wall, enlarging the ring, leaving a smooth and even finish on the ring. Mandrel measures 9" inches in length and features a knurled handle for better grip and control when cutting. Cutting section of mandrel ranges from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 13/16" (20.3mm); fits ring sizes 1.5 to 10.5.
