This 2 piece draw plate set is used to draw wire chain through to smooth, shape, condense, work-harden, and lengthen it without damaging the wire finish. Use for knitted, crocheted, woven, or braided wire chain made from silver, gold, copper, permanently colored copper wire, and flexible beading wire. Start with a length of knitted or braided wire rope, then draw it through increasingly smaller holes until it is the size you need. Each hole is slightly tapered to make a smoother and more even draw. One plate has 18 holes from 1.5mm to 10mm, while the other plate has 15 holes from 7.5mm to 14.5mm both in 0.50mm increments. Large plates fit in hand nicely and measure 7.25" x 2.5".
