Even a watch in the best running condition will need to be serviced by a watchmaker, from time to time to keep it working in top shape. Watchmakers and other watch enthusiasts know that you can keep your timepiece working as long as you keep the heart of your watch (the mechanical movement) working smoothly. Clockmakers and watchmakers both use various watch oils and lubricants to keep dust out of the moving parts of your watch movement, and the gears running smoothly. For clocks and watches: oil, lubricants, and sealants will keep the gears working longer, extending the life of your watch or clock, while also protecting the movement and helping it keep better time.
